Please add Drones and Bikes to Assignment Resource Types
Since many teams are now using drones and bikes for some incidents it would be very helpful to add those as resource types for Assignments.
Although there is an Air resource type, it would be even more useful to have both Helo and Drone as two different Air types, the same way that there are currently several types of K9 resources.
And now with the increasing popularity of eMBT bikes, more teams are using bikes to locate subjects.
Easy for me to say, since I'm not a programmer, but it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to add a couple more resource types to the drop down list for Assignment Resource Types. :)

Thanks for submitting these requests. Would love to hear from other users that would find these helpful. Passing along to the dev team.
Yes, it would be helpful to be able to add custom resource types or perhaps have some user defined resource types along with the standard resource types.
Honestly, I think there's less need for 4 kinds of ground and 4 kinds of dogs in the resource type. I would almost rather just see ground and dog, one of each.
Matthew,
We have used multiple types of K9 resources on a larger incidents. And the since the type of assignment a tracking(trailing) dog team is given it typically very different from an area dog assignment, it makes sense to keep different types of K9 assignments.
I don't think it really clutters things up too much to leave those in.
And sense some teams use the Assignment Resource type to determine what sort of mutual aid resource s to request, it also makes sense to keep the different types of Ground resources.

We are interested in having a check box for drones. With Remote ID it would be helpful to be able to track multiple drones. I hope this does happen.
Since this request is 2 years old, I am just adding a bump to the request for a drone resource.
Would like to see a way to input RPAS (drone) search patterns for search areas in Caltopo so that they could be transferred direct to a drone (KMZ waypoint file) ... this is currently available in a number of separate software packages (Dronelink, Waypointmap, DJI Flight Hub 2 .....) but would greatly help if planners could access a resource type and select from a drop down what type of pattern the drone should fly
