Hello,
Can you elaborate on this feature request? Do you mean on a printed map, or on your maps online?
You can add quite a lot of information in the comments on a marker/polygon/line etc. This will show on the left side of the map when online.
If you wanted to print them to use in the field with your map, you can print a coordinate list that will include all the comments on your markers as well: Print Coordinate List.
I’d like to place text on the displayed map and pdf printed map.
I'd like to see this feature, also.
One way to do it, perhaps more easily, is to allow the Comments field labels to be shown by individual object even with the Folder level labels turned off.
Elaborating on this feature suggestion (or maybe just my own take), it would be helpful if we could add a text layer that allows us to control the exact location, size and color of text. As a label for a poly, line or point, the software determines size and placement. This sometimes overlaps other more important information. Also, we sometimes label map elements in a manner that makes them easy for us to find/organize while building the map. These may not be user friendly for someone using a printed version.
