Remember Folder Collapsed/Open Setting
It would be very helpful for folders to remember if they are open or collapsed during a map load. Sometimes I want to be able to have items in a folder turned on but there could be many objects in there so having the folder collapsed by default would be very helpful.

Caver456 really hit the nail on the head here. We are in the process of updating/improving our folder functionality. Keep an eye out for updates!
Hi Curtis, I don't work for caltopo, but our SAR team would find this helpful too. This kind of dovetails with the similar-but-separate feature request of being able to expand a folder even when nothing in that folder is selected, and/or to have 'select all' and 'unselect all' buttons for each folder. This would allow you to only select one or two features from a folder of dozens or hundreds of features, rather than having to unselect all of the individual features that you don't want to show.
Side note - looks like that similar-but-separate feature - expanding a folder even when everything is unselected - just got rolled out and is live now. Thanks caltopo, this is a huge help!
Thanks Rachel. That's exactly what I was hoping to hear!
I make liberal use of folder visibility to minimize the clutter faced by our field teams. However, this only takes effect when the map is first opened in the CALTopo app. This means that during a search, I can move a map object into a non-visible folder but that object would still be visible on the CALTopo app. They have to either cycle the check mark for the folder or reload the map.
If I close the map and re-open it, it will interrupt a currently active track. Is there a way to implement a function to reload the map without interrupting a track?

Would be good to have the folders displayed under Map Objects collapsed by default, especially when creating maps to be shared publicly
