Source of MapBuilder Topo layer hiking trail mileage ?

I have the following map section opened with just MapBuilder Topo layer. I noticed that most of the hiking trail segments on this map have a mileage displayed:

Reading the doco it states this layer is sourced from OSM and USGS but I don't see any mileage for hiking trails on either of those maps: Below is corresponding OSM map for the area:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/39.1460/-108.8448

I am curious to know what is the reference source for the hiking trail mileage that is shown for this layer? I think this is BLM land in Colorado so could this be from a BLM digital source?
