Add ability to rotate printed maps

Only having the option for portrait or landscape maps greatly limits the detail I am able to print on a single page.

If my area of interest (for me, a backpacking route) runs any diagonal direction (NE, SE, NW, SW) only having the ability to make my map area a rectangle in two different orientations forces me to print unnecessary detail on my map and increase the scale in order to fit everything.

If I had the ability to rotate my map freely, or even just in 45 degree increments, I would be able to zoom in closer on the area I actually care about, thereby increasing the detail of the resulting map and making it more useful for me. I know this would be counter to standard map design, but if I'm making the map, I should be able to make that determination, and the declination indicator would make the map's orientation clear on the print out.
