Track Recording Detail - Battery Usage

In Track Recording Detail settings, the maximum interval between data points is 30 seconds. For the purpose of live tracking to family members, it would be nice to have longer options such as 10 minutes, 30 minutes and/or 1 hour to conserve battery life of our smartphone during long outings. Since I'm using another GPS device to track my hike, my Caltopo would not need to be smooth in this scenario.
