Add OpenTopoMap as a base layer
Adding OpenTopoMap as a layer would be great, I personally prefer it since it distinguishes between trail and terrain types while being clear to read (unlike the cycleOSM).

You can easily add OpenTopoMap as a Custom Map Source by using this URL in the URL Template box
https://c.tile.opentopomap.org/{Z}/{X}/{Y}.png
Detailed instructions for Custom Map Sources can be found here
But all you really need to do is fill the Custom Source box out like this:
