How to correct route of a trail

I’m a volunteer working on supporting the Oregon Coast Trail. As land permissions change, new routes open, or trail damage forces a reroute, we have updates to the official route. This trail shows up in many of the CalTopo layers, but I’m having trouble finding the source of the data that feeds these layers. I was thinking it would be in OSM, but only portions of the trail show up there. Any other trail supporters out there who could advise on where/how to enable such updates?

    (I'm guessing you're referring to MapBuilder Topo but if not, let me know!)

    If the trail is on MapBuilder Topo or any of the layers that show MapBuilder data, you can update it in OSM. This section of our user guide describes how to update OSM: https://training.caltopo.com/all_users/resources/osmedit. We typically bring in the latest OSM updates a few times a year which might explain the discrepancy you see right now.

    So it looks like just parts of it are in OSM. I guess I’ll see if it’s worth the time to get it fully added and corrected. Thanks for the confirmation. The full trail is in TF Outdoors, so I guess I need to take that up with Thunderforest.
