Opinions on new UI?

Boyan

What are the opinions on the new UI?  While the looks are modern, I find myself torn

  1. Still not glove friendly on mobile, perhaps not even finger friendly.  The clickable/touchable items are often very close together, particularly when editing items, and it is easy to click the wrong one.  In line with modern material design, the visual cues on what is clickable and what isn't are few and far between.
  2. Too many clicks/tocuhes to accomplish things that used to take 1-2.  Example: it takes 6+ clicks to edit ANYTHING about an item: shape, color, size, label.
  3. Some inconsistencies between mobile and desktop interfaces have been resolved but new one have been introduced.  Example: desktop interface allows for 0.75x waypoint symbol sizes but mobile is locked to 1x and 0.5x.  Many symbols on mobile are too large at 1x and too small at 0.5x.  0.75x is, IMO, the right size but now I have to create 1x points which I then need to edit on desktop to bring down to 0.75x... using 6+ clicks per symbol

I do like the new map layers interface - it is less dense and more finger/glove friendly, as long as one removes most of the things that are enabled by default.
