Voting Icon

I wanted to add my vote to a forum post but did not see how to do that. Finally I Googled that question, which did not help exactly, but ended up helping me look again and finally realize "Oh, so THAT'S the voting icon!" Too obscure! 

The up/down "vote" icons have prior meanings (directional, browsing) that do NOT include "vote". 

SPELL IT OUT, please. Why so subtle? That makes no sense.
