CAlTopo / MeshTastic integration for off-grid location tracking and sharing?

bill
When my SAR team operates in areas without any cellular coverage, we cannot see each others CalTopo tracks until we get back to an area with cellular or WiFi connectivity — then CalTopo correctly merges everyone’s information into the shared map. This means that we might have gaps in our search coverage areas, for example, that we won’t know until we get back to base. A great use case for Meshtastic is if a team operating off-grid with CalTopo also has a Meshtastic radios, so we could each see the local teammates’ tracks — and we know/correct the local coverage and our tracking alignment. This would require that the Meshtastic app and the CalTopo app were directly integrated and talking to each other on the mobile device (SDK-level integration I suppose). Alternatively, there is built-in integration within CalTopo for Bluetooth devices like metastatic. Does anyone already have this working or is working on it? Or: is there an SDK available for CalTopo that Meshtastic developers can send updates into CalTopo mobile locally?
