T-Mobile satellite data support for CalTopo?

mddina
According to the T-Mobile T-Satellite support website, CalTopo should work through satellite data with T-mobile. I have not located any CalTopo news on this feature. Is it live now? What specific data is accessible through satellite? Thank you, https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/satellite-support#apps

T-Mobile just officially launched data and as of today it should be available to anyone with a compatible phone and plan.  We're psyched that they invited us work on making our app compatible in advance of this release.  We currently support syncing map data including live tracks, and loading map layers - particularly Sentinel imagery and our weather layers, which are not available for offline downloads.  Photo waypoint syncing is currently not supported, although it's something we'll continue to evaluate based on real-world app performance.

Hey Matt, just tested it out and is working!

One suggestion for the Point Info weather. I think it would be a little quicker to load the weather on SAT, if you swapped out the noaa weather image icons (pretty useless imo, and more data to load), for the more detailed text forecast noaa gives you.

ie, im looking at the same point on the app and on the full noaa forecast page.

app says: " This afternoon - high 46f - showers and thunderstorms likely"

website says  "Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Snow level 8500 feet. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Northwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%."

Most importantly,, the app doesn't give any WIND forecast info!
