Can't Edit Track

Recorded a track yesterday, and forgot to stop recording before I drove home. Now I want to remove part of my track, but I don't see any way to edit the track. Per your how-to guides, I should see a "modify" option, but as you can see from my screenshot, it's not there. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong. Thanks for any help!

Select Transform and then Split which should break the track into 2 sections then delete the section you don't want.
