Massive elevation drop
This small section of terrain produces a profile with a sudden drop of over 5,000 then pops right up again. The map is here: https://caltopo.com/m/MHMEUU0
Whether tracing this section using the trail snap-to or free handing, this ~1mile stretch shows accurate elevation topo lines to the eye but the profile is a massive canyon. Ideas?

This can occur in the seam between two DEM data sources, as seen here on the border between Canada and the US. Thanks for bringing this one to our attention we will take a look.
