Sync iPhone & iPad?

I thought I'd try syncing my iPad to my iPhone 8 - just so I'd have the same downloaded layers on the iPad. Google's AI response to a query about this provided a whole bunch of non-reproduceable stuff. [Maybe AI is really MSU (Making S*** Up)]. I can download a few layers by hand in less time than believing Google; but just in case - is it really possible to sync the two devices?

Thanks.

You may need to elaborate what you mean by syncing? If you are logged into the same account all the data will auto sync with a data connection. Just open the app on each device.

If you are wondering if downloaded layers will be available across devices, the answer is no you will need to download layers to any device you want to use offline.

Well, I've learned two things that make my question rather dumb. One, iPads don't have GPS, so downloading tiles is pointless. Even copying data (iPhone to PC, PC to iPad via iTunes) does not tie the data to the CalTopo app on the iPad.

I still marvel at the ability to download data from Iceland to my iPhone to keep us from getting lost in the wild. Thank you, CalTopo.
