Rubber band style drawing

I wish drawing on the mobile app used a rubber-band UX design.  It would eliminate fat-finger problems.  Use the center of the screen as a "cursor" and dragging the map would pull out the line you're trying to add.  While you're at it, display the distance and bearing of the line you're drawing.
