Bulk Map Management (Export and Delete)

Curtis DeVault

I do some cleanup on my team's account once a year. Folders have been a game changing. Two features that I would find valuable, as among many others I'm sure are being able to bulk export maps and delete them. Let's say you open an archive folder with old maps, select some or all the maps and be able to download them and then delete them. Thanks!

I was just thinking about this yesterday!
I have around 50 maps in the current year folder and would like to export ALL json files by selecting a checkbox next to the map name (or having a select all) and clicking a download (or move to a different folder, archive, etc) button.  (Think Bulk Actions in a map, but for admin tasks)

Before the upgrade to the "Your Data" part of caltopo, I could select all the text in the window, copy and paste it into a Google Sheet and have map name, date modified and the link to the map.  That was convenient because I needed to QA the maps and being able to copy this data was useful.

Agreed on the benefits.  In regards to bulk delete specifically, it's something we discussed when we built out the new folder UI, but we felt that until we implemented a "trash can" style soft-delete, it would be giving people the ability to accidentally dig too deep of a hole for themselves.
