Short Cut option

I would really like a way to shortcut a line to more quickly cleanup tracks. 

When I right-click on a line, I could select the transform option and get the "shortcut" option like I do the split and merge options. Shortcut would let me edit a line to split it at that point and reattach it to another point on the same line. The segment in-between would be cut out and create a new/separate line. This would only allow me to reattach it to the same line from the point that I right-clicked. This reduces the number of steps and the confusion of reselecting lines when I need to merge them together after cutting out breaktime area or time spent at the command post, or taking a detour on the road they should have never been recording anyway.
