Adding secure wms/wfs layers

As a government agency responsible for conducting SAR in Western Australia we see ourselves benefitting from the use of restricted or premium layers. This is includes parcel data, live weather, AI layers etc. However they require login details in order to utilise them.

Will there be any plans to add function to add these kinds of layers? Unfortunately even simple weather information is not public information and default Caltopo layers do not extend to Australia. 

Given how many government customers you probably have I was surprised that this is not something you support.
