I'm thinking you may be asking for a progression map? If that's the case (sorry for assumption) would be ideal to add polygons daily of perimeter and ability to modify the interior colors. Not sure how you'd add at a different time scale unless maybe you use MODIS / VIRS to digitize a poly?
