Allow bulk option rename / renumber of markers

If I place some number of markers, I would like to be able to rename and sequence them similar to how I can reletter and renumber tasks.

The workaround for this currently is to draw a line object, and in the modify menu to create points along the line. However, I can only start the numbering from 0 or 1, I can't generate points p1-p11, and then start later on at p12. 

Either of these feature would be great when I need to quickly add a number of reference points on a search.

    Hi Bradley - I'm not on CalTopo staff - just another SAR user.  Are you a python programmer by any chance?  There's a python module sartopo_python that could be used to accomplish something like this.  If you're interested, add another comment here.  Of course that's completely separate from / in parallel with the question of whether the caltopo folks see fit to add this feature so that no coding would be needed.
