WFS Beta
Any idea of when the WFS feature will come out of Beta? I'm having about a 10% success rate for WFS and have to settle for WMS versions

We recently added a section to the userguide for WFS: https://training.caltopo.com/all_users/base-layers/wfs.
If you are continuing to encounter trouble, please email us at help@caltopo.com
Any update on this project? would love to see it come out of beta and see full icon/polygon/line importing.
Agreed, having every information point presented in orange isn't great when using multiple information sources.
It looks like the original comment was about failing to autoconfigure the full URL, while the later comments were about styling; I'm replying to those. It's definitely taken us longer to circle back to this and add styling, than we had intended when we originally built the feature. Too many competing priorities, not enough time.
The primary reason we haven't added style support yet is that WFS doesn't have any built-in concept of styling, so we would need to allow users to develop their own style rules. And once we pick a way of doing that we're kind of stuck with it for the long haul, so we've been hesitant to casually commit to something due to the importance of getting it right. There's a "styled layer descriptor" spec, but it's not something we could fully support, at best we could only implement a small subset of it.
I'll just leave a note here that if there are existing examples of simple styling rules for feature data that people can point us to, it would help us in figuring out how to move forward with this.
