Possible to create custom URLs for PDFs?
I use CalTopo often to georeference maps, then create PDFs saved to my account for use with Avenza Maps. The whole process works beautifully, except for one thing: when I download a georeferenced PDF to Avenza Maps, it ends up in my map list with a meaningless name like "JQ0RS."
I don't know if this is an Avenza Maps issue or CalTopo issue, but I suspect the latter since the meaningless name is the last string in the PDF's URL. I do give my PDF's a title in CalTopo, but that seems to be ignored when downloaded into Avenza Maps.
Yes, I can rename the map in Avenza (so this isn't a huge deal), but seems like it wouldn't be that difficult to just be able to give the map a custom URL string at the end? (Or something else?)
Thanks!

You can rename the PDF from your device, but not within CalTopo.
Additionally, with the Caltopo mobile app you can have your maps already on your device without having to upload pdf's into avenza. The app is available for free on both iOS and Android. To download layers for offline use you will need a paid subscription.

Don't forget, when you create the pdf print of your map, you can use Avenza and scan the QR Code in the corner to download the map straight away, without having to worry about typing in a long URL.
