Generating topos for large sized prints

I'd like to generate three large (at least 36" high) topos for Shenandoah NP's south, central and north districts. Focus is on trails, overlooks and other SAR points I'd place on the maps for different places we'd rally. Is it really just a simple as putting the rally points, finding the layers I like and setting a print scale for the canvas I want?

    I suspect you may have gone ahead and tried this already.  I've done prints of 36x48 but the plotter had wider margins than the print out. Otherwise, it was straightforward.

    Interested to know more of what your experience(s) were.  I can print on 42" tyvek (w/ about a 1/2" margin, so ~41" of content) - and want to know the ins and outs of exporting from CalTop.
