Nautical miles option for buffer and range rings.

Hi

For places where there's the meters or miles drop down, having kilometers and nautical miles as options would also be helpful for my use case. I can see the option of feet being another helpful use case for others.

    Request submitted to Matt in 2018, would still love to see this implemented:

    • Under Config --> Coordinates --> Units I have it set to Nautical.
    • I go to Add --> Bearing Line and in the range dropdown it shows miles and meters. It turns out those are Statute Miles even though my Configuration is set to use Nautical.
    Suggested fix:
    • Have that units dropdown for Range Ring, Buffer, Sector and Bearing Line contain the following options so the user has no doubt as to what type of units they are using
      • Meters
      • Kilometers
      • Feet
      • Imperial
      • Nautical

    i'm getting a feeling that the forum is forgotten about by the staff.

    There doens't seem to be may posts / comments from them.

    I went ahead and jumped in to add/refresh some of the requests since their email just this morning directed people here for Feature Requests. I know they have internal lists of feature requests as well, but I wanted to do what I could to keep these public and the conversation moving forward on them :-)

    The team at CalTopo/SARTopo is amazing, and I'm sure they have hundreds of requests, so sorting priority is certainly challenging... hopefully some active discussion and upvotes here might help them set priorities :-)
