Attempting to add a layer using the SA NGI 1:50k maps available on OpenStreetMap

Using a Pro subscription I am attempting to add a custom map source for South African 1:50k topo maps. The map source I am using is:
South Africa Topographic Map (openstreetmap.org)
It doesn't matter how I edit the parameters, I'm unable to get the maps to display. I just get a blank screen. Do you have any helpful tips for me please?

Hi,
I looked at the link and that isn't a WMS server. That map viewer is pulling from a server that is likely a WMS but I could not find the URL needed to get to the server. I have seen South African maps that come from a WMS but do not have the URL. I did a quick google search for one but nothing obvious came up.

Many thanks for your efforts and feedback.
In the interim, I discovered this server:
http://apollo.cdngiportal.co.za/erdas-iws/ogc/wms/CDNGI_PORTAL_BACKDROP?service=WMS&request=getcapabilities
and it worked for me. However, I deleted the custom data source (from some of my maps but not all) and recreated it, and now it is serving up nothing. I am particularly interested in the 1:50K data.
I'm going to keep plugging away in the mean time but if you do discover anything then please let me know.

Update: Using the URL in the above post worked. It seems that the server was offline when I was trying to configure the maps. This afternoon everything started working with no input from me.
