Export option: Copy to *existing* map

Brett

We have a variety of ways to export line and point data, but I frequently find myself having to export a file to my computer just to then import this subset of data into another existing map of mine in Caltopo. Along with "Copy to New Map," I'm envisioning a similar solution that pulls up a list of the user's saved maps for selection, then transfers the data in the cloud to the destination map. Working with two tabs open, the user then simply refreshes the destination map to see the imported data populate.

YES - this would be great.  I just did a post in the SAR folder sort of along these lines.  Basically, from a SAR manager perspective, I do not want everyone with access to the map to see everything on the map.  So, I was proposing a work-around in that there would be 2 maps for a search.  First one to do all the planning, proper-search management perspective.  The second would be the live-tracking data.  After a tasking is complete the track data would be imported into the "Search Manager" map.  Transferring directly would facilitate that process.

This would be a great solution for many problems. It would be fine to have this option. Please add this option. Thanks

I too vote that the function to copy a line to another existing map should be highly ranked in the backlog of future enhancements.
