Drone no-fly layer

Boyan

Submitted this as a feature request and the Caltopo staff said they will consider it.  Posting here to see if there is broader community support for something like this....

We already have public lands layer that is extremely helpful.  It will be very useful to add a "drone no fly" layer.  There are already multiple apps that do this (B4UFLY, OpenSky, Airmap, Air Control, Air Data).  However, using Caltopo and Google Earth to figure out where it might be interesting to fly and then switching to another app to see if you can fly there is a hassle, particularly since the desktop versions of these apps don't deal with GPS coordinates particularly elegantly.

I support this. I would like to be able to get coords from the drone and then copy/past them into SARtopo for IC. And like you said, it is good to know where the boundaries are in relation to the operation.

Somewhat OT: can you get the real time GPS coordinates for a DJI drone? Have not figured out how to do this yet

    Boyan,

Best I've been able to do is download my tracks from airdata after the fact.
