Mobile navigation not showing "Next Waypoint" details.

I've created a short test route and on it I have placed two waypoints along the path (as close to the center of the route path as possible). Using my Samsung Galaxy S22 phone, I don't get any information such as name, time, or distance to the next waypoint. Furthermore, I can't find ANY information on how this works or what to troubleshoot... surely I can't be the only one having this issue.
