Importing tracks from GPS in to a assigment is possible, but how to import a track/line/app track in to a assignment?

See attached picture: There is a function of adding resources to an assignment, it should have been possible to add app tracks and lines to the assignment in the "Tracks-part" of this menu, as well as waypoints and clues, but those are less important. It possible to do it the cumbersome way of exporting a gpx, and importing back into the assignment, but is it possible to make a direct import not from a file, or GPS, but from a line or app track?

    Hi Peter,

You can only import tracks into an assignment using a GPX file of the tracks so you are correct that the cumbersome way is your only option for attaching lines or app tracks to an assignment. Just a FYI though we no longer recommend attaching tracks to specific assignments. As we work to improve the program, very specific functions like this will get shifted into something more adaptable to a range of uses.

My recommendation going forward will be to use folders to organize your tracks per day or op period, and use track names to associate them with specific assignments.

    Were you thinking of

For an existing Line object, right clicking on the line and then Convert
--> Convert to Track still works - it will ask you what assignment it
should be owned by. Keeping in mind like Meghan says that this will go
away at some point. ("Track" is a reserved term, it is basically a Line
which is owned by an Assignment.)

Not sure if this works for AppTracks in progress? The AppTrack will be
converted to a Line as soon as the AppTrack creator does a Finish and
Save. After that, the above will work.

Attaching tracks to assignments is a deprecated feature. We no longer develop or support this feature. You should not make a habit of using it going forward. Tracks can be organized within folders.

    Thanks for the reply.
We have been using folders to separate tracks from each other for some
time, but we think this is a nice feature to use in admission to that.

Everything else (everything) about SARTopo is working great :-)

    Have a nice day.
