Is there a "vista" icon I can add to maps?

Greetings,
I'm just starting to learn how to use CalTOPO for the hiking guidebook I'm writing, and I'm trying to figure out how to add vista icons showing where views are. I've attached a screenshot showing the available icons under "Recreation." I've circled the WiFi icon in the bottom right, which is the closest thing I can find. I would think vistas would be one of the most common things to add to a map, but I can't find any mention of this in the forums. The instructions say I can add a custom link using a URL, but I can't figure out how to do that, either. I found a URL I like (https://svgsilh.com/image/297393.html), but when I entered that into the field, it just removed the marker entirely. Any advice appreciated -- thank you!

    Hi Bill,

Custom icons can be added via HTML link if they are hosted on the web. A better option though is to upload and save a custom icon file to your account. This does require a pro subscription or higher, which it looks like you have. You can find instructions for how to upload custom icon files in this section of our user guide.

    Thank you,
    Meghan

    Hi Meghan,

Thanks for getting back to me about that, and for the link to the
instructions. They're pretty vague, though. For example, I have a URL for a
vista icon I want to use (https://svgsilh.com/image/297393.html), but when
I go to Your Data --> Your Icons --> "Add new icon," it brings up a window
where I'm supposed to add a file, not a URL. So I downloaded the file from
that URL and saved it, then tried to upload that file using the "Browse"
button ... but it didn't do anything. Am I missing something? Sorry, I'm
not the most techie person in the world. I appreciate any further help!

    Best wishes,
    Bill

Thanks for the update on your issue on the other thread you opened. I am going to close this ticket for now since the issue is now resolved.

    Thanks for using CalTopo!
    Best,
    Meghan
