Aircraft and Fire Activity data layers

I just signed up with the "desktop" level for Caltopo to help me make informational maps for the wildfires in our area. I immediately came up with two questions...

1. The "aircraft" layer is lacking. I am looking at flightrader24 app and I see 1 spotter plane and 2 helicopters... Caltopo layer only shows the spotter plane. Why?

2. I want to drape the fire activity data layers in google earth using the superoverlay feature, but they are not included in it. Why?

Thanks in advamce...

    To answer your questions:

    1. The Aircraft overlay displays publicly available unfiltered data from ADB-S Exchange. The differences that you observed probably have to do with differences in data sources, processing etc between ADB-S Exchange and Flightradar24 although I am not familiar with where Flightradar gets their data. You can learn more about our Aircraft overlay on this page on our training site.
    2. Configurable layers (I.e. layers with a dropdown configuration menus) such as Fire Activity are not available on Google Earth because of the additional technical work that would be required to support and maintain them.

Hope that helps clear things up!
