I'm seeking help and tips, for creating Caltopo custom layers from Google Maps layers.

Explanation:
I want to create 3 separate Caltopo custom layers, one from a Google Maps satellite layer, one from a Google Maps map layer, and one from a Google Maps terrain layer.

CalTopo allows you to create custom layers from WMS and WMTS map sources. (See https://training.caltopo.com/all_users/base-layers/custom-source)

I want to create these 3 custom layers, so that I can have 3 Google Maps layers on the same CalTopo map, and be able to adjust each layer's opacity from 0 to 100%.

Context: A friend who extensively uses CalTopo on the job expressed interest in having several Google Map layers each with adjustable opacity on the same CalTopop map.

Google's terms of use and licensing for their layers do not allow any more use than what we already provide.

Additionally, we are unable to guarantee continued access for any users to Google maps layers. This is related primarily to the requirements of their licensing and the code limitations for our future development. For that reason, we do not advertise these layers as a feature. At this time pro, desktop, and team subscribers have access to those layers, though this could change at any time.
