In the MapBuilder Topo view, is it possible to show map without 3D- terrain detail? I'd like to see it in flat view only? I've attached a file with the view of the land structures that have white/green colors w/ shading showing detail, i.e. 3D view. Can I flatten this?

Is there a reset to default option?

Thanks,

Will

    Hi Will,
The term for what you are describing as 3D is "shaded relief". We offer a number of different layers, not all of them have shaded relief built in. USGS and USFS layers both do not have shaded relief. If you like the Map Builder Topo layer the most we support custom map builder topo layers which would allow a variable amount of relief shading (including none), as well as a few other customizable options, this requires a desktop subscription (add layer > Custom Mapbuilder). The feature is highlighted here: https://training.caltopo.com/all_users/base-layers/custom2#mapbuilder

I do not know what you are asking with regard to "reset to default". You can take a look at the user guide for getting started information: https://training.caltopo.com/all_users/getting-started

    Best,
    Ben
