Cannot remove a signed out member

Today we were practicing with the SARTopo TEAM function and we had 3 team members sharing data with out central map in the command center. Everything was working well till everyone signed off and stopped sharing data. We found that even with deleting them as a "Marker" from the map we could not remove their colored "DOT" or Identifer. The only way to make them "disappear" was to turn off the Real Time Data for our team. But that would mean other active Team members also disappear. Turning ON Real Time Data resulted in all the dots coming back.
We need to be able to remove members who have signed out and are no longer sharing data.

    Good morning,
I'm not 100% clear from your description of what is happening that I fully understand the issue. Signing out of the app does not stop location sharing. You have to go to the on map menu and select sharing to stop sharing. After you stop sharing there is a period of time (intentionally) that your location will continue to display. There are both technical and practical reasons for this but locations shouldn't disappear the instant you stop sharing.

We do not allow control of location sharing besides from the device sharing location. Let me know if that doesn't clarify the behaviours you were seeing!

    Best,
    Ben

I believe you have answered my question. We weren’t expecting a delay between when the IPhone app stopped sharing location and the SARTopo active map. Do you know how long the delay time is and why the need to have it? I am sure I will be asked for answere.

Off the top of my head I don't remember the delay length.

From the technical side, we allow location sharing in intermittent service, which means users may lose/gain service as they hike and are we want their location to continue to be shared. From an operations standpoint, there was a decision that having visibility to where that user ended for a period of time was valuable information to have (if you have multiple insertion points, or ops is distant from your deployment point, etc). I'll check into the time period, but I believe that its a nontrivial amount of time (more than just 5-10min).

    Best,
    Ben

Checked in with our development team. After 10 minutes of inactivity the marker is greyed out, after 30 minutes it is removed.

    Best,
    Ben
