Drawing routes

I want to map the route of a trip starting in Iowa and ending in Alaska. The trip was made in 1920. Part of the trip was by railroad (Iowa to Seattle and then Skagway to Whitehorse) and part is my Alaskan Marine Highway (ferry up the inside passage from Seattle to Skagway). If I want to show the entire route do I have to draw the route point by point? Or do you have ways to automatically draw known routes like railroads and ferry routes?

    Hi Thomas,

So unfortunately we don't have the capacity to snap to either railroads or ferry lines. If you don't want to draw point by point (which would be a ton of work for something that long) your best bet is probably a Google search. I would search for something along the lines of Seattle Skagway ferry GPX, Skagway Whitehorse railroad GPX. Then you'd be able to import those GPX files and stitch them together. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    All the best,
