Distance/bearing/elevation difference from current position to center (app)

One of my favorite features to use while out in the field is the center cursor to easily get a elevation readout at a point of interest. I think it would be very useful to add a readout of distance and bearing from your current position to the center cursor. Adding elevation difference would also be awesome. All of this gives a instant readout and eliminates the need to use the bearing and/or profile measurement tool when navigating.

In addition, it would be nice to sort of customize what shows up in the center cursor display box. At least turn lines on/off in case you don't need some of the data (for example, I don't really need secondary coordinates). Right now it shows the primary coordinates, secondary coordinates, and elevation/datum on three lines. I would love to see a box showing:

Line 1: Primary Coordinates
Line 2: Elevation & Datum
Line 3: Bearing, Distance, Elevation Difference (from current position)

48°33'30", -121°07'44"
6811 ft WGS84
131° 1.79 mi +871 ft

I was on a trip this weekend where we did a lot of traversing on snow/scree and crossing multiple ridges, so managing elevation during the traverses and hitting the right spot on each ridge was important to keep moving quickly. With the suggestion above it would have made navigating a little more efficient since I wouldn't have to use the measurement tools.

    Hi Jory,

Thanks for the new feature suggestions! We are planning to add the ability to measure distance from a GPS location to another point on the map. However it's a lower priority feature than some of the other big projects we are currently working on so I don't have any kind of timeline on when that might be implemented but I wanted to let you know that it is on our radar. I will pass along your specific suggestions and use cases (including the suggestions for the center cursor display box) to our development team for consideration.

Thanks for taking the time to share feedback with us . We always appreciate hearing feedback from users!
