Next Waypoint and elevation while navigating (iOS app)

Hello everyone,
I've done a lot of hiking (the PCT, Te Araroa and more) with the Guthook app. I'm now using the CalTopo app for my long distance hiking and I've noticed 2 things that could improve the experience. Firstly, when you activate the navigation, on the lower panel, (see the photo below) it's saying "Next Waypoint" with two "--" that seems to be meant for numbers. I searched if there was a way to add waypoints on a line, like a campsite or a water source, and that it would show up on that navigation panel, but I didn't find any solution. It would be nice if we could use this function and even place waypoints on the map and know, just by clinking on them, how much distance we have to go before reaching them, like on Guthook. Secondly, when we look at the elevation profile, it would be useful if we could know where we are on this elevation. I don't know if there is already a way to do this 2 things, but I didn't find any solution by myself.
Anyway, thanks for your great works !

    HI Colin,

Thanks for the note! I'm waiting on some more info about the waypoints question from our developer team.

For the second suggestion, I've heard that a few times recently! It definitely seems like something we should do, but I am not able to say when. Always helpful to have the input.

    Thanks,
    Julie
