Folder suggestions

When the names of folders extend beyond the left column, it prevents access to the edit or delete buttons. A work around is to use the mobile platform to access the folder. In the mobile platform, with the different interface, the user can access the folder edit and delete functions.

Suggestions:
• Provide a way to manipulate the width of the Map Objects column.
• Provide access to place where all folders are listed and can add, edit, and delete folders.
• Change the folder interface in the mobile app. Currently, if a user taps on a folder it doesn’t collapse or expand the folder (as in the desktop version). Instead it brings up options to Edit or Delete the folder. If the user uses the back button, then no changes are made and the folder is then collapsed or expanded. But the current method is cumbersome, and it would be easy for a user to accidentally make changes to or delete a folder.
 • Allow creation of a subfolder structure.
• Allow ordering of object folders without having to add numbers/letters.

    HI Peter,

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. We have a lot of things planned to improve map organization features, including much of what you suggest here.

FYI, the map objects column width can be adjusted by dragging the edge of it!

    Thanks,
    Julie

    Thanks Julie.

I tried to drag the column edge to adjust its width, but didn’t seem to work. Presumed would work as in Windows, dragging anywhere along the column. Just experimented more, based on your info, and realized can adjust column width only if left click and drag on arrow that collapses column.

I had reviewed the help section re formatting left column and didn’t find anything (perhaps I just missed it). If not there, might be good to include dragging tidbit. Obvious now, but less intuitive if used to Windows interface.

You're right; it's not in the documentation yet. We have a lot of updates to make in there once the UI changes settle out.

    Cheers,
    Julie
