ability to hide all items in a folder without collapsing the folder

There have been times when we want to only view one or two items in a folder that has a whole lot of items.

It would be very helpful to be able to uncheck-all within that folder, without collapsing it. Right now it looks like the only way to uncheck-all is to uncheck the folder, which collapses it, so, if you want to check only a few items in the folder, you have to first expand the folder which selects all items in the folder, and then uncheck the large number of items you don't want to see.

Maybe change the behavior of the folder checkbox so that it unchecks all items in that folder but leaves it expanded? And keep the existing behavior of clicking the folder name to expand/collapse the folder? Then the folder checkbox would probably need to be tristate, which would be nice even right now: if some-but-not-all items in the folder are checked, the checkbox would show the tristate symbol (a filled box or such).

The workaround would be to move the items you do want to see to a new/separate folder and then just show that new entire folder, but that's not always practical or expedient.

    Hey Tom,

It's on the to-do list. May be a hot minute before we get it out.

Ok - thanks for the quick reply! Looking forward to it. Do you all have a
    roadmap / timeline / triage (planned, in-progress, wont-fix, etc) / version
    history for things like this?

Sorry, we're really not able to give timelines unless its an urgent fix.

    Its something for the future.
