Hello. Where is the sidebar that allows me to generate PDFs? I am unable to open it on my MacBook Pro. Thanks.

    Hi Tamar,

Are you looking for the print button? It lives on top of the map now. See https://training.caltopo.com/all_users/getting-started/changes

Or are you on the print page but the side bar isn't displaying? Look for the small white tab mid-way down the page on the left side. Click the arrow to open the side bar.

    Thanks
    Julie

In trying to generate and print PDFs and need to tweak the ratio and other data for an appropriately sized map. Thanks!

Here ya go, Julie. This is full-screen. Cannot find the print icon nor a way to open the printing options sidebar. Thank you?

Ah ha, thanks, that helps me figure it out! Either your screen or your browser window is too small and you are getting the small-screen layout, which does not allow for printing. Resize your browser so it's bigger, or the change the resolution of the screen, then refresh the page (you may need to do a hard refresh shift-command-r). The print button should come back.

    Thanks,
    Julie

    What browser are you using?

Can you send an image of the whole screen?

I’m using Safari. Never had problems before now.

The screenshot I sent was full-screen.

    Thx.

Exit full screen mode, and set the browser to actual size via the view menu.

    Hi Tamar,

It's the result of the screen resolution size and/or the browser size on the screen. I don't know if you recently changed your system display settings, or if you still need to make the browser larger (but not full screen mode), then hard-refresh the page.

(Since you are using Safari, try these commands for the hard refresh: Go to Safari > Empty Cache, or hit Opt + Cmd + E To refresh, click the refresh button on the address bar or press Cmd + R)

You may need to just play with it for a while trying different combinations of actions until you get the web interface back. I'm sorry I can't give more detail than that. I promise that is what is going on here though. I'm even attaching example screenshots of my own computer showing that it's possible to switch between the two formats.

    Thanks,
    Julie
