Transferring Map Data between CalTopo Online and CalTopo Offline
The Backup GPX files created by both CalTopo Online and CalTopo Offline are in the same format, so you can export from one and import to the other. For example, you can export a CalTopo Backup GPX file from CalTopo Offline and import that file into CalTopo Offline.
Start with the source environment, click on "Export" on the top menu bar, and then either "Download CalTopo Backup" or "Download CalTopo Offline Backup".
By default all objects are selected to be exported. Change the selection if desired and click "Export".
The file name defaults to the map name. Change the file name and folder if desired. Note the location of the file and click "Save".
Now import the file into the destination environment.
On the top menu bar, click "Import" and then "Choose Files".
Navigate to the folder where you saved the export file above, and open that file.
By default all objects are selected to be imported. Change the selection if desired and click "Import".
