    Hi Steve -

I'm sorry, it looks like I dropped the ball on our last email exchange about this. The offline map datasets are large enough that they need to be supplied via thumbdrive, on a state or at most region level, rather than nationwide. There is still not a formalized request process but if you shoot me another email at [email blocked] I'll get working on it.

I have the same kind of question. Before a search, or before a training search exercise, I create a pdf of the immediate search area and print it out. During the search, our members record their GPS tracks on their GPS units. To see where each searcher went, I currently download their gpx files to my computer and then when I return home I launch SARTOPO and import their tracks. but it would be really helpful if I could import their tracks while in the field and without requiring an internet connection. Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible, but having good maps to go with the program depends in part on where you're located. Start by sending an email to [email blocked] with details on your area of operations.

    Hi Matt,
I would like the same thing (SARTOPO Maps) for WA. I would be willing to pay for your help. I know this would be a great service. Would I need to get an external GPS for my laptop? Thanks for your help

You don't need an external GPS for the laptop; even if you had one, at this point I'm not able to track your location in real-time anyway.

I'll send you a direct email with more info.
