I have a garmin 600 and I am trying to upload a map with tracks on it to SARTOPO. I get a Garmin Plugin blocked message. How do I get around this.

What browser are you using? I believe Firefox is the only one that still supports the plugin; it generally shows a small bar at the top of the screen asking you to approve the plugin. Once you click yes you may need to reload the page, or at least re-launch the import dialog.

The 600 supports USB mass storage (ie it shows up as an external drive), so you don't need the plugin to upload data. You can do Import -> GPX File and then navigate to the GPS drive, look in the Garmin\GPX folder, and grab the files you want.

You may need to use Internet Exporer to connect to a Garmin. Neither Firefox nor Chrome worked.

David, so far as I know Firefox should still work for at least another several months (and I'm working on an alternative for when that date comes). It shows a warning bar at the top of the screen asking you to authorize the plugin, and after waiting for a bit, CalTopo throws up an error. Authorize the plugin, then try the export again; you should only have to do this each time you restart the browser.
