I want to know why, when using the Mapbuilder topo layer, many of
Maupin's(Oregon) streets are renamed after serial killers? This isn't from
Mabuilder's site, I checked, seems exclusive to Caltopo and the Mapbuilder
topo.
2nd st = Manson Drive
3rd St = Dahmer Drive
Lincoln (4th) = (combo) Gein Lane, Gacy Drive
5th = Bundy Drive
6th = (combo) Kemper Ave, Rader Drive

Coincidentally there is an actual Lloyd Ave and Christopher Lloyd did have
that "I am Not a Serial Killer" movie a couple years ago... Impetus?

That's the unfortunate downside to using open-source data (MapBuilder road and trail info is based on the OpenStreetMap dataset). It looks like those names are still in the database (using the OpenStreetMap layer to check); you can correct them at www.openstreetmap.org, although there's a bit of a learning curve to their tools.

I take MapBuilder snapshots from OSM every 3-4 months, and I just took one (it hasn't gone live yet), so it will take a while for edits made to OSM to find their way over to my MapBuilder layer.

Also not sure what mapbuilder site you were looking at but my mapbuilder layer does not source data from it.

No worries was just curious about the whole thing. Thanks for getting back
to me. I just looked at the Google associated Mapbuilder site to check.
    Didn't look into others.

Also, I should say I am an avid backpacker/peakbagger and find Caltopo
invaluable for my needs, trip planning, hard copies, etc. Years ago I used
G4 maps, until Caltopo blew it outta the water. Thank you to all of you for
    providing this service.
If you have any Caltopo promotional whatever I'd take it. ;-) I tell all my
outdoorsy friends about the site. I used to do GIS work, so I totes dig on
    maps.
    Keep doing what you do.

    Cheers!
