I am looking for a snow cover satellite layer for the north east in particular the white mtns. I have tried the MODIS but have not gotten it to work. Any one got an Idea for me?

Not sure why it's broken but I'm not going to be able to fix it until next week as my development laptop is in the shop for a warranty repair and I don't want to make any non-essential changes on my backup machine. The add new layer -> add archived modis option still seems to be working, so you should be able to use that to dial up yesterday's imagery.

It won't work with CalTopo, but NOAA has snow depth models available for Google Earth. I believe you want the latest link under "snow analyses overlays" at https://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/earth/.

Sorry for the delay, but this has now been resolved and the "latest modis" layer is back.
