Different colors for Mapbuilder trails?

So, I'm looking at a map of trails around north Lake Tahoe, using the high resolution satellite image to see snow coverage with the MapBuilder Overlay to see roads and trails (plus the contours overlay). I see lots of trails that I'm familiar with shown as solid red lines. I see roads as white lines. But I also see some pink lines and some purple lines that could be trails. What are they? Why the different colors? See attached screen shot for an example.

    Hi Phil,

The pink lines are paths on private land and the purple lines are paved bike paths.

You can also turn on MapBuilder Features in the overlays menu. Then if you click on any road/trail/etc, it will show you exactly what it is.

I hope this helps answer your question- happy mapping!

    Hello Meghan,

    Thanks for the info.

However, the "Mapbuilder Features" doesn't seem to work for me.
I checked the box labelled "Mapbuilder Features" in the layers menu
on the far right (see attached screenshot). But nothing changes
on the map. Clicking on roads or trails does nothing. I am logged
into my Pro subscription using the Chrome browser on MacOS 10.12.6.

    HI Phil,

Before we go any further into this, I just want to make sure that you have refreshed the page and/or logged out and back in recently. I'm not having any trouble with this feature. Let me know if that changes anything for you, and if not we'll dig some more.

    Hi Julie,

    OK, I solved this myself.

I did not restart or refresh my browser, but after I zoomed in to a more
detailed level, the clickable lines and other Mapbuilder features such as
peaks and campgrounds appeared and I could click on them for info.
I was originally looking at a scale of about 1 inch per mile That is not
detailed enough to show the Mapbuilder Features.
