Hello, I just started using CalTopo and really enjoying the site and app. I'm trying to figure out if a feature is available and hoping you can help. Basically I'm wondering if it's possible to add a PNG or JPG screenshot of a route as a layer and overlay and align with the underlying map so that I can trace a route over it. Thanks.

You're looking for the Add Layer - Map Sheet function which is available to Pro users. It will automatically align a geo-referenced file or you can manually align any other file.

    Best,
    Ben

Thanks for the speedy response Ben. Very happy, and not at all surprised, that this function exists. Pro version here I come.

Ben, is it possible to apply my payment for Basic toward my Pro upgrade?

That happens automatically. There’s a glitch in the calculator that displays the full amount, but that’s not what will be charged. You’ll just get a prorated charge.

    Best,
    Ben
