I have three questions?
1) How do I see the list of shared maps?
2) After I see the list of shared maps, how do I access a map?
3) Can I send the creator of a shared map a note or questions?
3a) If yes then what is the process to contact the creator of a shared map

I'm able to see a list of shared maps if I go to https://caltopo.com/find

Ok.. I now understand the shared maps. They are the grey items. My last question is can I contact the author of the map?

Thanks... and this is a fantastic program. Thanks to all of you working on providing this service.

Not yet, it's a feature we want to create as an opt in option for the future. At this point you can see them in the list or on the map as you describe.

Thanks for your email. So the way i understands it, because the full user
name is not visible in the list, I am not able to make contact with other
users at this time but it is planned for the future.

Thanks again for your help and keep on trekking

Correct we don't collect permission to share contact info, plus that opens a can of worms with regard to anti-spam protections so until we devise an appropriate way to collect that permission and share it effectively we can't share ownership information about maps.
