I have a lot of tracks I imported and they have long comments.

Does anyone know how to remove all the comments. If I do a Bulk Ops and don't put anything in the Comments they stay as they were. I have reduced the amount of comments by quite a bit by doing a Bulk Ops and adding a just a single space as the comment, but the space adds an extra line to a list of the tracks when they are displayed on the left.

I'd like to just delete the comments entirely on all the objects in a Folder.

Sorry, there's no convenient way to do that; bulk ops would need a separate UI to distinguish "delete this field" from "don't change this field".

After setting the comment to a single space, you can export the objects as GPX or GeoJSON, open the file in a text editor and do a search-and-replace to remove the comment fields, and then re-import that file, but it's not exactly convenient.

    That will work thanks.

And thanks Matt for a great program. We used SARTopo this month for a
multi-day missing person search with assignments for dog teams, horse
teams, Hot Shots, and mutual aid Search and Rescue ground teams.

And we used it a few days ago to remotely run an overnight rescue that
    ended with a helicopter extraction.

I just tried it and that worked well. I found though that rather than change the Comment field to a single space it's better to change it so something more unique like "???". That made it easier to find and replace than a finding and replacing a single space.
